Commission E Prompts Dinkes to Build Health Centers in Every Village

The Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD)'s Commission E encourages the Jakarta Health Agency (Dinkes) to build community health centers or puskesmas in every sub-district area in Jakarta.

Building a health center is not easy but we will try to help fulfill it

Commission E Member, Merry Hotma assessed the health services in Jakarta were good but there were still several things that needed to be completed. One of them was providing a health center in every village.

"Building a health center is not easy but we will try to help fulfill it," she expressed, Saturday (1/14).

DPRD Sets Rp 83.78 Trillion for 2023 Draft APBD

She explained that the Dinkes must coordinate with other regional apparatus organizations (OPD) to meet the needs of public health services considering that the needs of public health services continue to change every day

"If you (Dinkes) need cooperation with outside parties, that's welcome. It would be nice if we had a health center in every village," she explained.

The same statement also came from another member, Idris Ahmad. He wanted the Jakarta Government to optimize assets to overcome the problem of empty health centers in several sub-districts.

He cited that by optimizing assets in the sub-district area that have not been utilized by building a health center, which aims to quickly handle public complaints.

"We're still pursuing the construction of the health center and I have also conveyed it to the Acting Governor. For instance, there are assets belonging to the Social Agency (Dinsos) for which there is no designation plan, these assets can be transferred to build a health center," he explained.

Jakarta Dinkes Head, Widyastuti admitted there are still urban village areas that have no health center. The construction itself must meet several requirements, for instance, the minimum number of residents in an urban village that will have a health center is around 30,000 people

"We keep striving for its construction in one sub-district," she stated.

Here are 15 urban villages that have yet to have health centers:

3. Karanganyar

4. Tangki

5. Gambir
